====== Template CATPart for Assignment 3 ====== {{tag>}} ~~DISCUSSION~~ We’ve prepared a sample CATPart to help with the set-up for the bus stop component model. It’s in the materials section of the wiki under assignment 3:\\ http://php.twofourfour.org/dokuwiki/stanford/materials All of the ‘driver’ parameters and their associated ranges have been added to the part. Note the following changes to the ranges:\\ Sidewalk_Width: 8-14ft (to give you a little more room to work with)\\ Person_Age: 5-100 years\\ Waiting_Time: 0-90min\\ Sun_Direction (Solar_Elevation): 75.5deg (highest point during summer equinox) – 28.8deg (highest point during winter equinox)\\ Some additional parameters have been added to define the curb (Under ‘Site_Config’ in the parameter tree):\\ Site_slope: The slope of the street measured from the horizontal plane (0-20deg)\\ Site_orientation: The orientation of the street with respect to North\\ Curb_Y_length: The length of the curb which can be devoted to the bus stop (30-80ft)\\ Curb_radiusOfCurvature: The curve of the street (infinite to 50 ft)\\ Also, there are a couple of geometric sets in there for reference:\\ 1. ‘global_axes’: 3 lines (length 1ft) corresponding to north, east and vertical. These directions will remain the same regardless of the street (curb) orientation.\\ 2. ‘site’: Contains a geometric set, some lines and sketches –\\ 2.1 ‘site axes’: 3 lines defining the x,y and z axes for a particular street/curb configuration.\\ 2.2 ‘curb’: sketch defining the street curb (grey arc)\\ 2.3 ‘site_boundary’: sketch defining the sidewalk (green arc), which is the side and rear boundary of your site\\ 2.4 ‘wind direction’: (blue) line corresponding to the direction of the wind measured from the site X axis\\ 2.5 ‘view direction’: (purple) line corresponding to the direction of the view measured from the site X axis\\ 2.6 ‘sun direction’: (yellow) line corresponding to the solar elevation measured from the horizon\\
