Jae's beverage container

I did two different approaches to build my model. In the first figurative approach (main work), I decided three different drivers and goals according to three different configurations. Then, I made a set of geometric parameters focused on how to draw three different shapes exactly in software. In the second work, I focused on making parameters which could be combined to decide geometric elements, as the sample did.

• Goal for config. 1(Housewife in Egypt) - In desert area, housewife need to store water for a long time after conveying water from somewhere once in a while. So, I set “long duration of storage” as a main goal and set “max in volume”, “stable standing”, “adjustable usage”, and “stable grip for conveying as a sub goals.
• Goal for config. 2(Bikers in Himalaya) - In unpaved, rocky area, bikers need water beverage that does not break easily when falling, and is easily gripable and drinkable. Therefore, I set “easy to grasp”, “easy to drink”, and “sufficient capacity” as drivers and goals.
• Goal for config. 3(Kids in Tokyo) - In Tokyo where people are sensitive to character design (sth in japanese manga, comic books), kids need beverage container of interesting shape. So, I focus on “figurative shape” and “easiness in use” as main goals.
