Profile

Forest is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE) in the CEE department. His research is in the area of multidisciplinary design, particularly on how virtual product models can be used to make the process more collaborative and interactive. He is currently working on facilitating the use of engineering analysis tools (i.e. structure, energy) to inform the early stages of the building design process. Forest’s educational background is in architectural design and structural engineering. He has several years of professional experience, most recently working for Arup in London. Notable projects that Forest has been involved with include the CCTV building in Beijing and Cordoba Conference Center with Rem Koolhaas / OMA, the 4th Grace in Liverpool and the Shanghai Star with Alsop Architects, and FC Shakhtar stadium in the Ukraine and the Singapore Sports Hub with Arup Sport.
