My personal page on LTU.se
I am grown up outside a small village upstreams Luleå River. Outdoor activities has always been a interest for me and is so even today. My personal interests is downhill skiing together with my family and other sport activities such as Kite Surfing in the winter out through the Luleå archipelago.

Autodesk and AutoCAD was my world from 1996 to 2003, where I worked as a reseller for the north part of Sweden. I'm glad =) today that I'm not the “face” of Autodesk and the software anymore. I work now daily with their software programs (Architecture, Revit and 3D Studio Max) and they solve many of my presentation problems in my work. Anyhow is the world with CAD software very interesting for me because I lecture courses at the university with many types in CAD softwares. I'm a Ph.D Student at Luleå University of Technology. My research is described more in **Gustav's project**.

Before I was a reseller I worked with product design and caught up that work beside my study from 2004 to 2007. The “side work” was designing product for the medical industry. The picture shows a handle that weld blood tubes. The work was also producing drawings and other documents for manufacturing. More design products is on Abelkos homepage. Rhino, Inventor and 3D Studio Max was my tools in the design job. A lot of the job would have been easier if I worked with parametric models because of the possibility changing my models.

My interest in Parametric Design

The course is for me a possibility to combine the building system at volume level at Lindbäcks to the working process with parametric design tools (UGS NX5) and methods. Geometrical and functional parameters will be a challenge for me to connect with parts in the building model. My intention is to work with the imported CAD-model and exchange objects by hand when I will use parametric functions. The systematical modeling with UML is a possibility for me to learn a language where I can explain the system not just within pictures. UML will be more a method to apply in use case definition to the IT process in Industrial Housing, for me in my future research.
