I completed my master of science degree (Industriell arbetsmiljö, inriktning mot produktionssystem) in 1999, and presented a licentiate thesis in Industrial Management in 2002 (“Automation, decentralization and performance development - patterns of change in Swedish firms during a decennium”). Since 1998 until 2007 I have been teaching, mainly within the department of Industrial Management at LTU, for example Organizational Behavior, Corporate and Business Strategy, Business Intelligence, and Management of Change. During 2007-2008 I have also been working within the External Relations department at LTU. However, since 15 September 2008 I am a part time PhD-student in Wood and Timber Structures at LTU, and my PhD-project is concerning the role of the client in industrialized construction in wood (in swedish, “Beställarrollen i ett industriellt byggande i trä”). My earlier experience from previous work is mainly within the manufacturing and process industry, so naturally I find it interesting to compare these industries to the construction industry - for example when it comes to production process issues, business relations, business strategy and overall corporate strategy thinking.
I am taking the course “Parametric Design” to learn more about how one could model the interaction and relationship between the client and the contractor in industrialized construction, in order to improve the communication in between the two parties concerning both the product and the production process.
