My thoughts on Parametric Design

A Practical Guide to SysML

As the heading gives away, I am currently reading the book by Friedenthal, Moore & Steiner and attempting to capitalise as much as possible for my assignment. I have also gathered a lot of data about the current process at the company I am collaborating with, and now through UML and SysML, I am hopeful to find apt forms for displaying the dependencies and information flows I have found.

I am really looking forward to the workshop held in Luleå next week, not only for my interest within this field, but also for catching up with all LWE-PhDs again.

The Stanford trip

These last couple of days have been very intense, very interesting and extremely eye-opening. A couple of times, I actually have pinched my own arm, (and sometimes even Gustav's), having trouble to realize that we are at Standford University, San Fransisco, USA!

I must emphasize that it is not the pleasant weather, the inexpensive prices nor the almost unlimited access to sushi that excites me the most. It is the Stanford Atmosphere!

During this stay, I have worked more hours and slept less compared to what I normally do back in Luleå, and still I feel more energetic than the Duracell bunny or Gustav on Pepsi X!

I will try to store some of this sensation for the long cold fall that awaits me in Sweden. Can one get a can full of Stanford Atmosphere through customs?

You can create a blog for yourself using the blog plug-in. The syntax would be something like this:

{{blog>:erik:erikblog?10}}

where :erikblog is the namespace where the blog resides and ?10 defines the number of entries/page.

I agree that the Stanford experience is great. We visited the Centre for design research http://www-cdr.stanford.edu/CDR/index.php/Main/HomePage last spring and participated in a workshop with people from Center for Foresight and Innovation that was very fruitful.
