In this project, I am looking for the parameters which are related to each other, one or more. It is very hard to figure out the relationship between each other beacuse of unexpected changes. I decide to change a thickness, radius, curve angles and summit point of curve for achieving the optimzed designs for each configuration

Description of design drivers / goals

  • The best containter for each location and each person, so I am focused on where the container will be used with its own unique weather condition and who is user with their own characters and habits.

Parametric variations: Images

1.

  • Narrow Bottom Radius for a limited space on the bike.
  • Easy to drink for a short time due to driving, so wide lip radius
  • Riding usually during a sunny day, not a rainy day, do wide lip radius
  • Fitting on the size of a biker's hand for the easy gripping

2.

  • Wide Bottom Radius for a stability because eldely does not have an energy enough to move
  • Heavy Thickness for keeping a cool temperature, because it is for Dubai
  • Narrow Lip Radius for blocking sand into the container from sand wind

3.

  • Heavy Thickness for keeping a warm temperature, because it is for Anchorage
  • Regular Body Shape becuase a pre-school child uses both hands for catching a bottle

4. Unexpected Changes

  • After making a relationship between the bottom radius and the height of body using a formula, unexpected shapes was shown when I input a new number of height.

Lessons learned

  • If 1 formula was connected to 2 Parameters, the model was changed to an unexpected model or broken model.
  • A simple equation could be calculated with a formula function, but a complicated equation such as an inequality and a quadratic function could not be recognized on the Digital Project tool.

(Since the opportunity to leave comments on your work was not available, I created one for you. :-) )

I found this to be a very interesting piece of work. I think it would be very useful if you also had provided “lessons learned” on this page. Looking forward to return to this page later on.

Min, Have a look at the Syntax to get a better understanding of how you can format your page and text. Also, I agree with Erik that you should provide a Lessons Learned where you summarize the most important findings from the assignment.

Overall though I think you design is excellent; simple elegance and some interesting unexpected ones.

I think it is thoughtful that you can reasonably decide all the geometric factors based on changing only two parameters. Also, it is interessting those two parameters could variate the quite different shapes after all
