Background
I took my Master of science in mechanical engineering at KTH, Stockholm, 4 years ago. In my graduate thesis
I were evaluating a new type of wood I-beam that was made of gluelam in the flanges and cross laminated wood in the joist. There after I began working as a structural engineer at Tyrens Byggkonsult (http://www.tyrens.se) located in Stockholm, after two years of working I were offered to start studying as a part time Ph.D student at LTU, Luleă.
Research project
My research project is called ”Technical platform” And it is a modular approach for the building industry were the flexibility is meet by configuration of modular components. You can read more about it by clicking the link.
Current work
Currently I'm working in a research and development project of tall buildings with the structural framework made of wood. Here I'm trying to adapt Cad-solutions like Solid Works were the parametric design and re-use of components can be done. Besides this I'm evaluating a small house industry companies product model and the flexibility of customization that can be meet.
Besides work
I am a big fan of old wooden boats and are now working on renovating a boat from 1911, design by a famous constructor named “Carl Gustav Pettersson, CGP” see picture 1 below. Besides this I'm fond of Sailing (both in air and sea
), carpentry and traveling.

Discussion
How is the work in Solid Works going? It is always interesting to see how a mechanical engineering software could work in construction. Btw. I could maybe get some sailing hints from you for my windsurfing training?
I can not read your diagram in your project presentation. Perhaps my eyes are too old (or my glasses…). I had a simular problem myself though in my presentation. When I tried to make my diagrams bigger they did no longer fit the wiki-structure. Perhaps someone can help me solve the problem?
